Animal Cruelty Awareness Month...Go Orange!

Posted by Kelly Jansens on

It is Animal Cruelty Awareness month. Although most of us cannot imagine doing any harm to animals of any species, animal cruelty does exist and happens every day.

In order to spread awareness about violence towards animals, Green Dog along with many other pet related vendors, pet lovers and owners will be participating in the Grand Rapids Roller Derby – Cats & Dogs event that will take place on Saturday April 22, 2017. See details here: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2893326. Purchase your discounted ticket on-line now or pay more at the door.

There will also be many non-profits in animal welfare and rescue will be in attendance with information on available pets for adoption, services offered, programs, events, and tons of educational information. They will also be ready to answer any questions on ways you can get involved by volunteering, donating, fostering or advocating.

We can all do our part in brining awareness to this cause by:

  • Promoting kindness to animals through education and by example
  • Encouraging responsible pet ownership
  • Supporting the spay/neuter of dogs to help control the pet population

Wear your ORANGE in support of Animal Cruelty Awareness.

Organizers of the GRRD – Cats & Dogs event have asked us to wear or display orange as a sign of our support in brining awareness to this cause.

Hope to see you at the Roller Derby event.

 Peace, Love & Peace

~Kelly & Bodie
